Prohibited Items

Personal Items / Toys / Electronics
To support a safe and focused learning environment, personal items that are not part of the instructional program should remain at home unless prior permission has been given by the teacher.

Items may not be traded, bought, sold, given away, or exchanged at school.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

• Toys, trading cards, sports equipment (including balls and jump ropes)
• Makeup, markers, sunglasses, hats (unless for sun protection or school-approved use)
• Skateboards, roller skates, roller blades
• Chewing gum
• Any item that may be unsafe, disruptive, or interfere with learning

Any item that causes a distraction, disrupts learning, or creates a safety concern may be confiscated.

Electronic Devices
Students may bring cell phones or personal electronic devices to school; however, these devices must remain powered off/silenced and stored in the student’s backpack during the school day unless specifically authorized by school staff for instructional purposes.

Personal learning devices may only be brought to school with teacher permission and at the family’s own risk. The school and district are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including electronic devices.

Personal Belongings
The school assumes no responsibility for personal items brought to campus. Jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes, and other personal belongings should be clearly labeled with the student’s name.
